This course is specially designed in partnership with the Taipei City Senior Learning Demonstration Center. Do you feel overwhelmed by the thought that learning Western art history requires starting with prehistoric cave paintings? Or perhaps you enter a world-class art museum with great anticipation, only to find yourself limited to a cursory glance at the numerous masterpieces?

This time, we're breaking free from traditional learning frameworks! The Qian Mu Former Residence Senior Citizens' School once again invites the beloved Professor Yang Yanfan to lead us directly into the most prestigious art museums in England, France, Italy, and Spain. We'll not just be looking at paintings, but discovering the voices of the times and the stories of the people within these masterpieces. We'll transform this seemingly distant art history into something everyone can take home with them, a source of understanding and emotion.

This autumn, let's embark on a paper journey across Europe, exploring the dazzling world of art in an accessible and accessible way. From now on, art museums are no longer distant palaces, but a paradise of knowledge where you can leisurely stroll and savor them!

Through the most representative art museums and masterpieces of masters in the UK, France, Italy and Spain, we will explain in simple terms, using the steps of "see, feel, and then understand", first connecting with the works through the senses, and then returning to the history and context.

💬 Friendly Note: The "Happy Seniors School" is an initiative at the Qian Mu Residence that embodies the "Happy Living Learning" philosophy. Each month, we offer courses on a different theme, including international news, travel and lifestyle, history and culture, art and painting, aerobics, and health knowledge. We invite university faculty and professional lecturers to teach, offering a rich and diverse curriculum. Four classes per month, one per week, are stress-free and free. Enabling seniors to "live as learning, and learning as health" is our social responsibility and goal!
