This year, "Meeting the Bazhilan Cultural Ecosystem" in Qian Mu's former residence once again invites everyone to step outside together, read the local literature and history of Shilin, and feel the common memory of local life! Remember teaching outdoors as a kid? Just like that, bring a water bottle, your favorite snacks, and hook up with your dear friends to listen to the short stories of Bazhilan and enjoy the joy of hiking!
Zhishanyan is a small hill in the suburbs with rich historical, geographical and cultural landscapes suitable for all ages. Its geological appearance can be traced back to 20 million years ago, and it has many special geological landscapes and interesting strange rocks; in addition, because Zhishanyan used to be a small island in a saltwater lake, we can now find it in the hills of downtown Taipei. Seeing coastal plants, plus many unique native plants preserved here, the vegetation ecology is amazing. Needless to say, the historical and cultural relics are even more impressive. The aborigines, the Manchus, the Japanese, and the Nationalist government all left their historical footprints here. The small hills are full of stories about Taiwan over the past four hundred years.
This year, Qian Mu's Former Residence is honored to once again invite Mr. Kang Hongyu, who has been deeply involved in Taiwan's local culture, local literature and history, and popular history for many years, to tell you the historical and geographical stories of Zhishanyan! I look forward to traveling through time and space with you on this small hill that seems to be a microcosm of Taiwan’s history from prehistoric times to post-revolution.

Nearby reference landscape coordinates include: "Zhicheng Parking Lot", "CNPC Zhishan Gas Station", "One Yuan Seafood Restaurant", etc.

💠Note: This activity is an outdoor walking activity. The guided walking activity takes three hours in total. Please evaluate your personal physical condition before signing up!
