When the midsummer is slowly coming to an end, the green maple beside the stone steps gradually turns red with the breeze of early autumn. On this occasion, it is the most memorable season for the beautiful scenery of Su Shulou.
Mrs. Qian once recalled: "Bin Sichang said to me: 'Since ancient times, few scholars have seen the blossoming and fruiting in person... When talking about cultural thought, one can only rely on one's own confidence to support oneself to move forward and wait patiently. The test of time, to give a fair referee, and the result is often behind us. This must be done by the benevolent, wise and brave. I can only thank God for the gift and the mission of our generation, and it will make our lives full It has meaning and has value.” I often hear him say this, so I can only ask myself what the meaning and value of my life are.”
This year marks the 33rd anniversary of the death of Mr. Qian Mu. Over the past thirty years, Taiwan's academic circles have carried out countless researches and explorations on Mr. Wang's academic thoughts, which not only demonstrates the extensive influence of Mr. Wang's academics, but also the best witness to the inheritance of culture and knowledge. For this reason, Qian Mu's former residence has planned a mini-exhibition titled "Duoyin Lingling: Mr. Qian Mu's Research in Taiwan", which presents historical memories and academic crystallizations based on the research achievements of Taiwan's academic circles collected by the museum.
The exhibition will be unveiled on August 27, 2012. At 14:00 on the same day, we were honored to invite the award-winning "Heming Nanyue Society" to play the thousand-year-old voice of Nanguan in Qian Mu's former residence. With this profound cultural tradition, it symbolizes the warmth and respect of historical inheritance. "He Ming Nan Music Society" was founded by Ms. Chen Mei, the first female Nanguan singer in northern Taiwan. Over the past 26 years, Music Club String Friends has continued Nanyue with a sincere heart, and the harmonious sound of silk and bamboo has been lingering endlessly, bringing back the elegant and profound harmonious beauty for us, and inheriting the memories of the past in the culture.
At this meaningful moment, we sincerely invite you to visit Qian Mu’s former residence on August 27th, to reminisce about Mr. Qian Mu’s wisdom and feelings in the tranquility of Sushu Building, to enjoy the melodious melody of Nanguan together, and to spend a good time together.
