Mr. Liang Shuming (1893-1988) is an extremely original thinker, educator, and social activist in modern China. When he was young, he joined the Tongmenghui, and he also went to the people, and he personally devoted himself to the rural construction movement. He devoted his whole life to seeking solutions to modern Chinese problems from traditional Chinese culture, and he often devotes himself wholeheartedly to thinking about problems, resulting in insomnia. As he claims to be, he is indeed: "a man who has thoughts and acts in accordance with his thoughts."
From the end of 1917 to the summer of 1924, Mr. Liang Shuming taught at the Philosophy Department of Peking University. During this period, he completed the transition of his personal life "from Buddhism to Confucianism", and began to adjust and revive Confucianism. This month's lecture will take this as the theme and analyze the significance of his experience in modern Chinese history.
At 14:00 on February 26, 2011, Qian Mu's former residence invites everyone to find Mr. Liang's mental journey and historical footprint with Mr. Fu.
