Mr. Liang Shuming (1893-1988) is an extremely original thinker, educator, and social activist in modern China. When he was young, he joined the Tongmenghui, and he also went to the people, and he personally devoted himself to the rural construction movement. He devoted his whole life to seeking solutions to modern Chinese problems from traditional Chinese culture, and he often devotes himself wholeheartedly to thinking about problems, resulting in insomnia. As he claims to be, he is indeed: "a man who has thoughts and acts in accordance with his thoughts."
During the summer vacation of 1924, Mr. Liang Shuming resigned from his chair at Peking University and was invited to run a school in Caozhou, Shandong in autumn. In the spring of 1925, he returned to Beijing, where he lived and gave lectures in Shichahai with some students he knew from Shandong. During this period, the tide of national revolution surged. Mr. Liang went south to Guangdong in May 1927 and became the principal of Guangdong No. 1 Middle School in July 1928. This is his second attempt to practice his philosophy of social education after Caozhou in Shandong.
At 14:00 on March 26, 2011, Qian Mu's former residence invited everyone to find Mr. Liang's mental journey and historical footprint with Mr. Fu.
