Mr. Liang Shuming (1893-1988) is an extremely original thinker, educator, and social activist in modern China. When he was young, he joined the Tongmenghui, and he also went to the people, and he personally devoted himself to the rural construction movement. He devoted his whole life to seeking solutions to modern Chinese problems from traditional Chinese culture, and he often devotes himself wholeheartedly to thinking about problems, resulting in insomnia. As he claims to be, he is indeed: "a man who has thoughts and acts in accordance with his thoughts."
Mr. Liang Shuming started working in village governance in Henan in the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929). After two years, his work was transferred to Zouping, Shandong, and he changed his name to "village construction". This book was published in March of the twenty-sixth year of the Republic of China (1937), summarizing and reviewing related issues. He called this book "the result of his difficult research." What kind of mood and experience did the six years of Zouping bring to him?
