content
Activity spirit
Mr. Qian Mu came to Taipei to live in seclusion in 1956 and began his new life of "retirement without rest". Now, from my husband's diary, we can see that before he lost his sight due to eye disease, Mr. Qian left many traces of his life in various places in Taipei!Dengyang Mingshan rose appreciation,Go to Chongqing South Road to buy books,Go to the Palace Museum to revise the manuscript,Sit in a star cafe with small dots——We were surprised to find that life in Taipei in the 1960s was very colorful and not inferior to it today.
As Ouyang Zi said in "The Swallow in Front of Wang Xietang", "Dawn and dusk every day". We found that even during the troubled years of "Taipei People", Mr. Qian still maintained a peaceful and optimistic state of mind like dawn: "To be angry and forget food, happy to forget worry, not knowing how old is coming". He spent his days in Taipei steadily with his usual diligence and interest.
During the summer and autumn of this year, "Qian Mu's Former Residence" specially selected six themed related buildings and scenic spots from Mr. Qian's diary. "The Former Residence of Qian Mu" invites everyone to visit Taipei where Mr. Qian once lived, experience the elegance of the retro era, appreciate the historical sentiments of the past and the present, and understand the changes and changes in Taipei. andThrough the lens, record the "Taipei Life Footprints" of our time!

👣Mr. Qian's footprint in Taipei
The six categories here include some locations that we have selected from the diary of Mr. Qian Mu. There may be some familiar places, but there are also some names, which have disappeared in the history of this city.
We have kept these old scenic spots in particular. Perhaps there are some friends from the "old Taipei" who can smile knowingly, and we also hope that young friends can be treated as a "earth reasoning", according to the diagram, to visit and search for those who have disappeared. Life memory, experience the beauty of city change, and the historical feelings of the vicissitudes of life!
