do you know? Next to the Huiji Palace in Zhishanyan, Shilin, there is a nostalgic garden. There are many steles, pillars and couplets erected in the garden, which can even be traced back to the Jiaqing period more than 200 years ago! The earliest origins of Chinese characters are words carved on oracle bones and gold and stone. To this end, Qian Mu’s Former Residence May Senior School combined with the Bazhilan cultural ecosystem, specially invited master calligrapher Chen Fengze to lead the audience in appreciating oracle bone inscriptions, bronze inscriptions, inscriptions, small seal scripts, bamboo slips, silk scripts and the Eastern Han Dynasty through a four-lecture course The style of the inscription. The teacher will demonstrate the brushwork and structure of seal and official calligraphy on-site. During the writing session, students can also personally experience the fun of holding the pen and moving their wrists!
This course does not require a calligraphy foundation. As long as you have a love and curiosity about traditional culture, you can feel happiness in creation. Whether you are a calligraphy enthusiast or interested in traditional art, you are welcome to join us. In May 2013, Qian Mu's former residence sincerely invites you to immerse yourself in the environment with the fragrance of ink, find fun in the process of writing, and feel the profound beauty of calligraphy art!
* "Senior Academy" is an activity in Qian Mu's former residence to practice the concept of "Lohas Learning". There are courses with different themes every month. Such as: new international knowledge, travel and life, history and culture, art and painting, aerobic rhythm, health care knowledge, etc. University teachers or professional lecturers are invited to teach, with rich and colorful content. Four classes a month, one per week, easy, stress-free, and free to attend. It is our social responsibility and goal to let our senior friends "life is learning, and learning is health care"!
