"The Biography of the Assassin" is one of the most famous chapters in "Historical Records". Its subject matter is so strange and majestic that it is rarely seen in official history in later generations. Tai Shigong records the lives and deeds of five assassins, including Cao Mo, Zhuan Zhu, Yu Rang, Nie Zheng, and Jing Ke. It reflects the social contradictions and human struggles of the Warring States Period, and also highlights the noble belief that "a scholar will die for a confidant." . When faced with the choice of life and death, these assassins decided to take a path that was loyal to themselves and their ideals. This not only demonstrated the sentiment of sacrificing one's life for righteousness, but also symbolized the unyielding and freedom of the human soul.
This course focuses on two assassins, Yu Rang and Nie Zheng. Yurang sacrificed everything and tried his best but still failed to assassinate him. However, his loyalty to Zhibo and his persistence in revenge showed how a person with faith can radiate brilliance and passion in a difficult and difficult situation. Nie Zheng first showed his filial piety and then his loyalty. He successfully assassinated the enemy and then disfigured himself and died heroically. His story demonstrates an independent soul's pursuit and practice of its own values and sense of justice.
