Three years ago, we read "Biographies of Li Si and Lu Jia" with you all. In this biography, Sima Qian recorded three characters: Li Shiqi, Lu Jia and Zhu Jian, who were good at debate and each had their own unique characteristics. These three people all left a significant mark in history with their outstanding eloquence. We have observed that many people who appear to have similar talents at first glance, actually have very different spaces and uses for their talents, and therefore different destinies, due to their different inner personalities.
This year, we once again carefully read "Biographies of Li Shiqi and Lu Jia" to further analyze the fascinating story of Li Shiqi and Lu Jia's strategic maneuvers during the Chu-Han Contention. We will find that the reason why they left their names in history was not because of their eloquence, but because of their extraordinary political vision and strategic pattern. Even if you are just a scholar, as long as you have extraordinary foresight, you can still promote the progress of history and shake the world with your own efforts.
On March 22, 2015 (Saturday) at 14:00, we invite everyone to attend the lecture and read "Biographies of Li Sheng and Lu Jia" with Professor Jiang Yita to see how these commoner Confucian scholars in troubled times used their eloquence to defeat the enemy without fighting abroad and give advice on how to govern the country at home, thus laying a solid foundation for the new era and creating a new atmosphere. Through Li Sheng and Lu Jia's wisdom in understanding the pros and cons of the current situation, as well as their courage to respond and make decisions on the spot, we will explore modern inspirations for facing the great changes that have not been seen in a century!
